Maryam Abbasi

I am a Pakistani animator and artist based in Springfield, Massachusetts.

 

I attended Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Massachusetts, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Animation. My work is inspired by my South Asian heritage, as well as things that fascinate me like outer space and the human psyche. I am very passionate about 2D animation and hope to bring representation of South Asian and Muslim women to the industry. 

Along with my knowledge in 2D animation, I also have experience in freelance work as a character designer.
